How it works:
Paste any jumbled letters and instantly discover every possible English word. Whether you're stuck on Wordle, Words with Friends, crosswords, or anagrams, our word unscrambler finds every valid English word from your letters. No sign-up required.
Enter a jumble of letters and this tool finds real words you can make from them — useful for word games, crosswords, and building vocabulary when you're stuck.
What a word unscrambler does
Given a set of letters, an unscrambler (or anagram solver) finds every dictionary word those letters can spell. Under the hood it considers the possible arrangements of your letters and keeps only the ones that appear in its word list. Letter order in your input doesn't matter — the letters are treated as a pool to draw from.
A true anagram uses all the letters (like listen → silent); most solvers also return shorter sub-words that use only some of them, which is what you want for games where you play part of your rack.
When and why you'd use it
- Board and tile games — find plays in Scrabble or Words With Friends from the letters on your rack.
- Crosswords & puzzles — crack an anagram clue or fill a gap with known letters.
- Vocabulary practice — discover words you didn't know a set of letters could make.

Frequently asked questions
Is using this cheating?
It depends on your goal and the game's rules. It's a great practice and learning aid; in a casual game it can settle "is that a word?" arguments. In competitive play, follow whatever the house or tournament rules allow.
Does the order I type the letters matter?
No. The letters are treated as an unordered pool, so listen and silent give the same results.
Will every result be accepted in my game?
Not necessarily. Games use different official dictionaries (for example TWL in North America vs SOWPODS elsewhere), so a valid English word here might not be legal in your specific game.
What about blank or wildcard tiles?
Wildcards stand in for any letter, which greatly expands the possible words — check whether the tool and your game handle blanks the same way.
